Business Report Analyst (Data and Reporting Developer/Support)

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented BI Developer & Data Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on the development, maintenance, and optimization of ETL pipelines, data fixes, batch jobs, and BI reporting within oracle system and Microsoft PowerBI. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions to meet evolving business requirements. Working with cross-functional teams, you will be required together, document, and approve business requirements for data analysis and reporting projects, as well as use BI and database tools to develop reporting solutions to meet business needs.

ETL Development & Maintenance

• Design, develop, and modify ETL pipelines for efficient data processing and integration.

• Optimize long-running batches and enhance overall system performance.

• Automate data validation and quality checks within ETL workflows.

BI Reporting

• Develop new BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements using tools like OBIEE/BIP and Microsoft PowerBI.

• Support and enhance existing reports, ensuring accuracy and relevance.

• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into actionable reporting solutions.

Data Management

• Identify, analyze, and resolve data discrepancies and quality issues.

• Implement data fixes and validate results to maintain data integrity.

• Assist in building and maintaining data structures and views for better insights.

System Support & Collaboration

• Provide technical assistance for troubleshooting and resolving issues in data integrations and BI systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and address data-related requests.

• Document processes, technical designs, and workflows to facilitate knowledge sharing.

Process Improvement

• Contribute to the enhancement of existing systems by implementing the best practices for data pipelines and BI development.

• Develop and maintain detailed logging and alert systems for proactive issue resolution.

• Three years’ experience implementing enterprise-scale reporting systems, including working with users in a requirements analysis role.

• Extensive use of SQL and RDBMS systems, preferably on Oracle.

• Extensive experience with data warehouse implementations, preferably on Oracle BI EE (OBIEE) /BIP and Microsoft PowerBI.

• Knowledge of data warehouse architecture and data marts.

• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.

• Strong knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts.

• Excellent interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills are required to support working in project environments that include internal, external and customer teams.

• Requires strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities.

• Programming / scripting experience and knowledge of software development life cycle is preferred.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities, and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities.
